Junior Software Developer, C++

We’re Hiring: Junior Software Developer, C\+\+ Location: Beirut, On\-Site Company: VITA Detection Employment Type: Full\-time VITA Group is looking for a Junior Software Developer to contribute to the development and optimization of high\-performance system\-level and visualization components. You will participate throughout the software development lifecycle, including analysis, architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands\-on experience with modern C\+\+, real\-time graphics, Linux environments, and advanced software systems. Key Responsibilities Software Development Develop and maintain applications using C\+\+17/20\. Apply multithreading and memory\-safe practices such as RAII. Write clean, maintainable, and well\-documented code. Participate in technical discussions, architecture, and design decisions. Graphics and Visualization Help build real\-time rendering features using OpenGL, SDL2, and GLM. Implement overlays, text rendering, and visualization enhancements. Optimize rendering performance across platforms. Systems and Collaboration Work with Fedora Linux, system services, and Bash scripting. Collaborate with backend developers to integrate APIs and data pipelines. Participate in code reviews and technical discussions. Testing and Deployment Debug applications using tools such as gdb and valgrind. Write unit and integration tests. Support feature testing and validation. Work with Docker and GitLab CI/CD pipelines. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 0 to 2 years of software development experience. Good knowledge of C\+\+17/20, STL, and multithreading. Familiarity with Linux environments and Bash scripting. Basic knowledge of gdb and valgrind. Understanding of Git and GitLab workflows. Comfort working with Dockerized environments. Nice to Have Experience with OpenGL or SDL2\. Exposure to GitLab CI/CD pipelines. Python knowledge for tooling and automation. Familiarity with OpenCV, NumPy, or other image\-processing libraries. Please note that this is a fully on\-site position in Beirut, Lebanon. The selected candidate may occasionally be required to travel internationally for short\-term assignments at other VITA offices.
